When Cunard’s ‘Three Queens’ sail up the Mersey together on May 25 as part of the company’s 17th anniversary celebrations, Liverpool will be only the fourth place on the globe where the trio of ships has met.
And their movements will need to be particularly carefully choreographed, as it is also the most intimate – as well as the most apt – for the royal visitors, who will take it in turns to berth next to the Cunard Building itself over the weekend of events.
