ParticipantWe went here for a pre-Philharmonic meal. Excellent food and service. So much so that we had to dash over the road to get to our seats before the concert started. Staff allowed us to run off on a promise that we would return to pay. Not often you find that degree of trust. And yes, we did go back after the performance to pay – and for another drink!
One of the original “new generation” restaurants in town. Still one of the best.

ParticipantI think we need to be alert to this even more now that the Immigration people have moved out of Reliance. Once the word gets around, there will be cars parked at night in the bays unless they are blocked-off effectively. And then we get Ma Boyles or Newz patrons banging doors, starting engines and roaring down to Water Street.
I’ve raised this with Niccola and have also asked her to ask the Reliance landlord to clear and lock, or demolish, the rubbish store in Tower Gardens. Could turn into a general dumping ground.

ParticipantWe love this place. Food seemed v spicy on first visit (we ain’t big in hot curry, chilli etc), but then we found that the chef will adjust chilli etc at diner’s request. Fabulous flavours. Plates cleaned every time.
The champagne ‘house pour’ is Joseph Perrier. A fabulous champage which often requires the ordering of a second bottle!!
